Dr. Steve Wilson
Dr. Wilson is a retired hospital Pharmacy director who is a 1964 graduate from Oak Ridge Military Institute and 1969 graduate from the University of North Carolina School of Pharmacy. In 1999, Dr. Wilson also attained his MBA/MHA degree from Pfeiffer University. He has taught at the UNC School of Pharmacy as an adjunct associate professor and was also an adjunct associate clinical professor for the Medical College of Virginia. Dr. Wilson has worked in retail pharmacy, where he owned three pharmacies and a medical equipment outlet with a nursing care division, a home infusion pharmacy, where he was the Pharmacy director of the NC Baptist Hospital Home Infusion company, and the Pharmacy director for the Accreditation for Home Care located in Raleigh, NC, where he did both surveys and wrote Policies and Procedures for state wide home care practices. Before retiring Dr. Wilson was the Chief Pharmacy Officer for Memorial Hospital in Martinsville, Virginia. In 1990, Dr. Wilson was awarded the National Syntex Preceptor of the Year award for his excellence as a Pharmacy Preceptor.
Currently Dr. Wilson is a member of the Oak Ridge Planning and Zoning Board for the Town of Oak Ridge, Chairman of the Maple Ridge HOA in Greensboro, and Chairman of the Sheridan Place HOA at Elon College. Dr. Wilson and his wife reside in Oak Ridge where they have been since 1995.
