Carolyn Wray

Carolyn Wray’s association with Oak Ridge Military Academy began with Summer School in June 2011. Her teaching assignments have included Algebra I, Pre-calculus, Calculus, Advanced Placement Calculus AB and Advanced Placement Calculus BC. During the 2012-2013 academic year, she established a chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, a national mathematics honor society for high school and junior college students, at the Academy.

   Prior to coming to Oak Ridge Military Academy, Carolyn was a career mathematics teacher with the Rockingham County School system in North Carolina. During her tenure, she was nominated as Teacher of the Year and Outstanding Young Educator. She served as Mathematics Department Chairperson, a member of the School Improvement Team, and was a visiting member of the accreditation team for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.  

   Carolyn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and has taken graduate courses at Wake Forest University.
