Saturday’s celebration will feature several of our traditional homecoming events along with some new ventures! From 9:30 AM. until 1 PM, stop by the Museum and Archives located inside Alumni Hall to peruse old yearbooks, uniforms and other great artifacts.
. From 9:30 a.m. until 12 p.m., the parking lot of Whitaker Dorm will be packed with bikes and hot rods, as part of the Classic Car and Bike Show. The Cadets’ Choice award and Best in Show will be announced at 11:30.
Class Reunion information and locations will be announced at Homecoming. Join your fellow classmates in the Ragsdale Library to swap stories and catch-up with old friends from 9:30 PM – 1 PM.
Come lunch time, the fun doesn’t stop. A Picnic Lunch will be served from 11 AM to 1 PM and seating will be available in front of White Dining Hall, where Alumni and Cadets will dine together and share their ORMA stories. Oak Ridge Military Academy is providing lunch at no cost to you.
Other daytime events for you to enjoy include Class Reunion Pictures in front of Alumni Hall, a Top-shot Marksmanship Competition, a Free Throw competition, lawn games, Drill Knock-out competition, and guided tours of the campus will be available.
ORMA will be hosting the memorial service of a longtime supporter and board member, Williams “Bill” Northrop ’62 at 1:30 PM in Linville Chapel.
The 170th Corps of Cadets invites you to be present at their Pass and Review Parade in front of Alumni Hall at 2:30 PM.
The Oak Ridge Military Academy Soccer team will be playing Noble Academy on the field at Bonner Field House at 3:30 PM. Come cheer for our Cadets and show your school spirit.
The Alumni Dinner will be held in Bonner Field House at 7 PM. Enjoy dinner and reacquaint yourself with classmates. Dinner will include barbecue, fried chicken, green bean casserole,mashed potatoes/gravy, a salad, rolls, and dessert courtesy of the Dining Hall.
Following the President’s Reception on Friday night and the Alumni Dinner on Saturday, many will venture across the street to one of the neighboring establishments to keep reminiscing.
