Oak Ridge is the official military school of North Carolina and is the second oldest military academy in the United States. Originally, Oak Ridge was a military school for boys but became the first among private military schools to enroll girls in the cadet corps. Oak Ridge has a 99% college acceptance rate for its military academy graduates since 1991.

This military academy sits on a 101 acre campus that houses old structures from the 1800s to a modern 33,000 square ft military school academic building.

Today this Military Academy enrolls boys and girls grades 7th - 12th into its military school program.

Oak Ridge offers a military camp and an academic camp to boys and girls during the summer.
