LEADERSHIP
We believe in leadership and discipline. Our Junior Reserve Officer Training
Corps (JROTC) Honor Unit With Distinction program objective is to develop
more leaders versus more followers. We believe in developing the leadership
characteristics of self-discipline and self-confidence. Our cadets learn
and practice leadership by serving in various positions of responsibility
in the Corps of Cadets. Cadets learn to take charge, to take initiative,
and to respect authority. We teach cadets decision-making and doing the
hard right over the easy wrong.
Our
leadership philosophy is founded on the belief that good followers
make leaders good. We believe in teamwork and cooperation.
We believe every follower is a potential leader. We cultivate
leadership by emphasizing character development. We provide
the framework for leadership experiences via multiple initiatives
and opportunities, ranging from Congressional Youth Leadership
Conferences to Legislative Page Programs, from Cadet Recruit
to Corps Commander.
