THANK YOU
The school at Oak Ridge grew out of the generosity of 43 families, who gathered
together in 1850 and drew up a charter founding a classical institution
of higher learning. Their mission was to educate leaders for tomorrow.
Today, that tradition continues. Now, more than
154 years later “The Ridge” is still answering the call to develop
leaders. Today, the Academy still relies on the support of others
who care and share the school’s mission.
Without our donors the school would
struggle to provide the quality education, the quality opportunities
that our donors support makes possible. Our supporters have our
heart-felt gratitude.
Your support changes lives.
Your supports helps young people’s dreams come
true.
Estate Planning Helps the Academy
Due to the foresight and planning of some very gracious Oak Ridge Alumni, the
Academy has been blessed with recent gifts from some Alumni
and their families who are no longer with us. We are pleased
to announce gifts from the following estates, and are forever
grateful for the generosity and philanthropic interests of
our caring and giving Alumni:
• The estate of the late Colonel
Joseph B. Bonner, ORMI 1936.
• The estate of the late Minnie F.
Lyerly and the late George L. Lyerly,
ORMI 1937.
• The estate of the late Grace W.
White and the late Max H. White, ORMI 1938.
Many of our Alumni are members of
the Order of the Oak Leaf, which
is our planned giving society, recognizing those who
have made the
commitment to leave Oak
Ridge Military Academy in their
will or estate plans. We are thankful for those who have
already
included Oak Ridge in their
plans, and we encourage each of
you to think about what this institution means to you
and you
can help in the future with
an estate gift or bequest.
