Guidance Counselor
Amy
is a native of Plattsburgh, New York.
She is no stranger to Oak Ridge, as she
served as Guidance Counselor from 1999-2004.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in
psychology from the State University
of New York, a Master of Science degree
in Community Counseling from the University
of North Carolina at Greensboro, and
an Educational Specialist degree in Marriage
and Family Counseling from UNC-Greensboro.
Mrs. Stoller is a Licensed Professional
Counselor and a National Certified Counselor.
She is a member of the North Carolina
Counseling Association, North Carolina
School Counselor Association, and the
American Counseling Association. She
is also a member of the prestigious Chi
Sigma Iota, the Counseling Academic and
Professional Honorary Society International.
Amy has presented papers and lectures
at the annual meetings of The Psychology
Undergraduate Conference, North Carolina
Counseling Association, and the Eastern
Psychological Association. In her spare
time, Amy enjoys scrapbooking, shopping,
and spending time with her son, Evan, and her husband, Jeff, a former teacher and Athletic
Director at Oak Ridge.
As
the Guidance Counselor, Amy’s mission
is threefold: first, to assist our senior
cadets in the college admissions and
applications process, and to ensure that
they are admitted into the best college
possible; second, to provide limited
in-house therapy to those cadets who
may require it; and third, to assist
the Academic Dean and School Registrar
with their tasks as may be required.
