MaryKate
L. Holden is a native of New England,
presently she is a resident of Greensboro,
NC. She has an undergraduate degree in
Movement Therapy and a Master’s degree
in Biology with a concentration in Genetics.
She has taught at every level from pre-school
to college, most recently holding teaching
positions at Bennett College and Greensboro
College in the Biology Departments. She
has taught almost every course offered
in the Biology Departments of both colleges.
She has also delivered papers at Oxford
University in England, written and published
several articles and laboratory manuals,
and is a member of several professional
organizations including the National
Science Teacher’s Association. She is
married and has three children of high
school and college ages.
