Alan Bulluck, B.A.
History Department
Alan
Bulluck is a native of Greensboro, North
Carolina. He spent three years as a cadet
at Oak Ridge Military Academy. He completed
his high-school training at a college
preparatory school in the Blue Ridge
Mountains of Virginia, where he excelled
in tennis and lacrosse. Alan graduated
from the University of North Carolina
at Chapel Hill in 2004, earning a B.A.
in history. Presently he teaches U.S.
History and Study Skills, and he is also
the supervisor for the College U.S. History
course, which is offered for college
credit through the University of North
Carolina at Greensboro. Alan married
his fiancée, Daiva, this summer and they
spent their honeymoon in Scotland and
Ireland. Alan is an avid hiker and backpacker
and he is a graduate of the National
Outdoor Leadership School (N.O.L.S.)
in Canada’s Yukon Territory. In the winter
he enjoys skiing in the mountains of
North Carolina and Virginia, and in the
summer he enjoys playing his highland
bagpipes.
